Adoption and fostering

Adopting or fostering a child - or having your child adopted or fostered - can be both an emotive and complicated process whether you are single, a couple, a same-sex couple, married or unmarried, a step-parent or a grandparent.

ParentsCentre's 'Adoption and fostering' section provides links to our partner site Directgov for information on the various stages of the procedure, including information on adopting relatives/stepchildren, intercountry adoption, foster caring, care orders, useful contacts and training/financial support.

The ParentsCentre forum is the ideal place to get ideas, advice and information from other parents and carers who have experienced - or are experiencing - the same issues as you.
