‘Helping children to communicate’ webcast

I CAN logo

ParentsCentre is now showing an interview with Mary Hartshome, Head of Professional Standards at UK Charity I CAN, on the subject of children's communication skills.

One in ten children - or 1.2 million in the UK - has a communication disability, which means they are unable to express themselves and interact with others.

I CAN is a charity organisation which exists to help children overcome these disabilities by providing information, support and specialist therapy.

Mary will be answering questions on the value of good communication, what a communication disability is, how to help your child develop their literacy and where to find support if your child is an extreme case.
